Founded by Kevin and Marilyn Kmetz in 2000, Kmetz Inc. began by providing small-scale trenchless installations for water, gas, and electric utilities throughout Central New Jersey. What started with smaller projects for general contractors and local municipalities has grown into a full-service trenchless construction company capable of taking on increasingly complex underground infrastructure projects.
As the company grew, so did its capabilities. Kmetz expanded beyond Horizontal Directional Drilling into Jack & Bore, precision pilot boring, rock drilling, and other specialized trenchless solutions, allowing us to provide contractors and project owners with options for a wide range of pipe sizes, ground conditions, and crossing requirements.
Today, Kmetz Inc. has completed projects totaling more than 24,000 linear feet of drilling and installed casing pipe up to 78 inches in diameter. Our extensive fleet includes multiple directional drilling rigs, Jack & Bore systems, mud recycling equipment, support trucks, and specialized trenchless equipment capable of handling projects ranging from routine utility installations to complex highway, railroad, and infrastructure crossings.
More than two decades after our first project, Kmetz remains focused on the same principles the company was built on: doing the job safely, investing in the right equipment, solving difficult underground construction challenges, and delivering quality work our customers can depend on.
